Pomander Balls

Materials

  • One orange, apple, lemon, or lime
  • Small container of whole cloves
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Ribbons or other decorations

Instructions

  1. Use a toothpick or a fork to poke holes all over your piece of fruit. Create a pattern if you want to.
  2. Insert a clove into each of the holes.
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon all over the fruit.
  4. Now keep the pomander in an open place for two to three weeks.
  5. The pomander will dry up, harden, and become slightly shriveled.
  6. When it has dried completely, decorate it with ribbons, yarn, netting, or anything you want.  Tie a bow on the top so you can hang it around your house, or simply place it in a closet or drawer. They also make great gifts.
