/ Fabric Mini-Basket
Fabric Mini-Basket
Materials
Small, empty water or soft drink bottle
12” x 12” piece of fabric
Two pipe cleaners
24” length of ribbon (7/8” wide)
Double-sided tape
Hole punch
Scissors
Glue
Instructions
Take a clean, empty plastic bottle and cut the bottom off to measure 3 ½” high. The opening should measure 2 ½” across.
With a hole punch make two holes, one on each side directly opposite each other. This will be for the handle.
Twist the two pipe cleaners together. Put through the holes and twist the ends to secure on both sides.
Put the double-sided tape around the top edge of the bottle.
Spread out the fabric and gather up around the top. Press as you do this to hold in place.
Attach the ribbon with another piece of double-sided tape around the top of bottle.
Glue a bow to the center front.
Trim the fabric to even out the edge. You may use pinking shears as shown in the sample.
Fill with Easter grass and candy.
