/ Turkey Danglers
Turkey Danglers
Materials
Brown construction paper
Orange construction paper
Any other color paper you want
Black marker
Glue or Tape
Scissors
Ruler
String
Instructions
Start by cutting out your pieces of construction paper. Be sure to ask an adult to help you with the scissors. Use the ruler to help you measure.
For the head, cut a piece that is 4 inches wide by 12 inches long.
For the body, cut a piece that is 5 inches wide by 18 inches long.
For the turkey tail cut a piece 9 inches wide by 8 inches high. Then round off the top so it looks like a semi-circle. To make it look like feathers, make several cuts close together in the round part.
For the wings, cut a piece that is 12 inches long by 4 inches wide. I like to make these look like feathers also by making several cuts close together on each of the 4 inch sides.
Now we can put it all together! Glue the ends of the head strip together to form a round head. Do the same with the body strip to make a round body.
Glue the tail to the back of the head. Glue to wings to the bottom of the head. Glue the body to the bottom of the wings. Be sure to wait for the glue to dry!
Decorate the face any way you want. Use scraps of construction paper or a marker.
Punch a hole in the top of the head and string some thread or a rubber band through so you can hang up your turkey dangler!
Try using other colors to make different kinds of birds.
