Spring Holidays
/ Spring Flower Basket
Spring Flower Basket
Materials
3 paper bags (size of bags determines size of basket)
Glue
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Instructions
Make the first layer. Measure and mark a 3" line around the bottom of one bag. Cut on this line. Fold down top of bag 1 inch. Fold down again 1 inch. This should bring you down to the very bottom edge of the bag.
Make the second layer. Measure and mark a 4" line around the bottom of the second bag. Place second bag inside first layer. Fold bag in the same manner as first layer in 1" folds. Continue folding to top of first layer. Glue layers together.
Make the third layer. Measure and mark a 5" line around the bottom of the third bag. Place third bag inside second layer. Fold bag in the same manner as second layer. Glue second and third layers together.
Make the handle. With one of the leftover bags that you have cut the bottom off already, measure down 3" and make a line. Cut this off to be used as the handle. Fold inward 1" around. Then fold the other edge inward. Glue edges together. Place this piece around the middle of the basket and glue. Let dry. Glue a small flower decoration on the basket. See sample above.
