The staff of the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library deeply regrets the passing of Ms. Landis in March 2002. Ms. Landis was much respected as a person and as a local historian. She was described as one of the best researchers and historians in Wyandotte County, Kansas. Her work was not only dependable, accurate, and thoroughly researched, but passionate as well. She will be remembered always as a person willing to share her knowledge and her love of people and history. The Kansas City, Kansas Public Library and its entire staff feel privileged to have been allowed to share her work with the world through our Kansas Collection and our web site.
