Adult Services and Reference - The Adult Services Departments at each location provide reference and reader's advisory services to library users in person, by phone and by e-mail. Staff also provide training in the use of library resources and library tours.
Computer Resources - Patrons may use public access computers in the library that are preloaded with a variety of software programs, including word processing and subject tutorials. CD-ROM programs and databases are also available at all three branches. For a listing of computer resources at the library, click here. Bibliographic computer searches of some online databases are also available for the cost of online time.
Fax - No public fax service is available at the library.
Internet - Patrons may access the Internet on public computer terminals at all five branches.
Public Access Equipment - Public access computers are available at Main, Argentine, West Wyandotte, F. L. Schlagle and the Turner Community Library. Audio listening stations are available free of charge at the West Wyandotte Library. Typewriters are available at the Argentine Library. Public access copiers are available at Main, Argentine, West Wyandotte, F. L. Schlagle and the Turner Community Library.
Meeting Rooms - Meeting rooms or spaces are available free of charge at all four locations for informational, educational, cultural, recreational and civic activities by service, educational and nonprofit groups. Rooms must be reserved in advance at the desired location.
Tours - The Public Library offers tours at all of its branches. Tours can be general, focused on a research project, on a specific library collection, or a book talk.
To arrange a tour, call the Main, Argentine, West Wyandotte , Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle branch or the Turner Community LIbrary.
Programs - The library and the Friends of the Library provide a wide range of free or cost-recovery educational and recreational programs. A Calendar of Events is available at all library locations. Children under five must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If special assistance will be needed at a program, please call the library one week in advance.
