The Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library opened June 26, 2001. Located at Wyandotte County Lake Park, this KCKPL branch is a year-round interactive library, nature center, and nature trail offering scientific, educational, cultural, informational, and recreational opportunities to visitors of all ages. As part of the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library system, it offers access to online databases, the KCKPL online web catalog, and a wide variety of activities, lessons, and virtual web resources. The library will also feature special art exhibits related to nature and the environment and a variety of programs for children and adults.
